FASHION: STRIPES

Dress: Zara / Scarf: Zara / Shoes: Adidas / Bag: Mulberry

Who said you can't have bare legs in winter? I bought this dress from Zara so spontaneously. It was one of those moments where you're standing in the changing room for about half an hour just debating. I took the plunge and it was the best plunge I've taken. This dress is one of the comfiest pieces of clothing I own and it looks pretty good too! Although a bit chilly when worn in the mid winter, I still think it is perfect year round.
I normally wouldn't pair a midi dress with trainers but I think by wearing my Adidas Superstars it keeps with the casual look, but I have also paired it with heeled boots and heels before if I've wanted to dress it up. For a look around uni, this dress, shoes and scarf, paired with either a fur or simple coat is ideal for style and comfort.
I have also got my trusty Mulbs alongside me (this one is the Mulberry Effie Hobo - which I think they have discontinued in black) which you probably won't see me without. It was probably one of the best birthday present's I have received as my poor mum searched the country for a black one! (Sorry mum!) I'm pretty sure I hugged it - and my parents - for the rest of the day.

FASHION: THE LITTLE BURGUNDY DRESS

Dress: Topshop / Top: Topshop / Boots: Bershka

Now, if someone said to me "burgundy cord pinafore", I would have thought of my primary school uniform. That was up until Autumn/Winter 2015/2016!  Who would have thought that those three things would be back together once again and be roaming the streets. A pinafore, in my eyes, is a current staple for both summer and winter.

Here I have paired mine with a high roll neck top, black tights and black heeled boots. But come summer, I will be wearing this with white t shirts, bare legs and trainers!  This pinafore from Topshop is so beautiful as it's not your standard black or navy but it's still dark enough not to shout in people's faces - what more could you want for a day to night dress.

For the colder days, I would put a Zara camel coloured coat and big soft scarf with this outfit, to keep me that bit warmer as I walk to uni.

A DAY OUT: THE SHARD, LONDON

Oh I do love living near London! Although I am in Nottingham for most of the year, my real home is just outside of London which makes it so easy to have a day (or just an afternoon) in the city.
Although pretty cold, me and my family took a trip up the Shard recently, followed by dinner at Aqua; one of the restaurants on the 33rd Floor.
Luckily, the weather was beautiful (very rare) and we had the most amazing view as the sun set (even more rare)!
If anyone is in London soon, a trip up the Shard is a must. You get an all round view of London, can have afternoon tea - or cocktails if that's more your thing; it definitely is mine - overlooking the Thames and just appreciate the city that we call our capital!

I would say, however, try and make sure you visit in the Spring/Summer as there is more of a guarantee of nicer weather. We were very lucky with this Winter day!
